Senator Mike McKell is a Republican representing Utah State Senate District 25, which covers South Utah County, including areas around Spanish Fork. He began his legislative service in the Utah House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021, served in Senate District 7 from 2021 to 2023, and has represented District 25 since 2023. As an attorney specializing in insurance law, he is the founding partner of Utah Legal Team and has been recognized as one of Utah’s Legal Elite with an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell. Notable achievements include serving as Senate Majority Assistant Whip, co-chairing the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Coordination Committee, and being named SLCC's 2025 Legislative Champion for advocating higher education funding and community college programs. He is an adjunct professor at Utah Valley University, married to Brandi with four children, and enjoys farming, horse racing, and marathons .
