Biography
Mike McFall is a Democratic State Representative serving Michigan's 14th House District, which includes Center Line, Hazel Park, Madison Heights, and part of Warren in Oakland and Macomb Counties. Born March 1974 in Flint and raised in Burton in a blue-collar union family, he is married to Jacob Cooper and identifies as LGBTQ+. Notable achievements include serving as Mayor Pro Tem of Hazel Park, building community ties through local organizations like Hazel Park Youth Assistance and Lions Club, and prioritizing issues like water protection, family support, economic recovery, firefighter funding, and pandemic response. He serves as Minority Vice Chair of the Natural Resources and Tourism Committee and holds committee roles in Government Operations, Energy, Communications, and Technology, Insurance and Financial Services, and Regulatory Reform.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Development and Public Administration from Central Michigan University in 2014, working his way through college.
