Mike Jones

Mike Jones is a Republican representing District 12 in the Missouri House of Representatives, which includes parts of Platte County such as Parkville, Platte Woods, Riverside, Houston Lake, and part of Kansas City. A Kansas City native, Jones was elected to his first term in November 2024. He is a business owner and Air Force veteran who resides in Kansas City with his wife Michelle, their two children Mike and Mya, and grandson Rocky.

Education

Jones graduated from Park Hill High School in 1996. He earned a bachelor's degree in management and leadership from Friends University, which he completed while working full-time in equipment maintenance during his studies.

Political Experience

Jones was newly elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2024. Prior to his legislative service, he worked in the United States Air Force from 1997 to 2001, where he performed maintenance on AC-130 Gunships. He owns Elite Painting KC, a residential painting company, and holds a Missouri real estate license.
