Biography
Mike Inganamort is a Republican Assembly Member representing New Jersey's 24th Legislative District, which includes all of Sussex County and parts of Morris and Warren counties. Born on February 14, 1984, he took office on January 9, 2024, after defeating Democrats and an independent in the 2023 election alongside Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia. A resident of Chester Township, he previously served as mayor in 2023-2024 and on the township council from 2018-2023, including three years as council president. Notable achievements include authoring the law designating March 9 as U.S. Hostage and Wrongful Detainee Day in New Jersey; passing bills expanding paratransit services, modernizing public notices, funding open space preservation, and reforming guardianship for parents of children with developmental disabilities; introducing the Small Town Rescue Plan to restore local decision-making; and serving on the Select Committee on Ballot Design. He holds committee assignments in Environment, Natural Resources, and Solid Waste; Oversight, Reform, and Federal Relations; Transportation and Independent Authorities; Budget; and is co-chair of the Angling and Hunting Conservation Caucus. An Eagle Scout inductee, he has been named to NJBIZ's Forty Under 40, selected for GOPAC's 2026 Emerging Leaders program as New Jersey's sole representative, and participated in bipartisan delegations to countries including Israel and Mexico.

- Political Experience: Began career at age 18 on the Sussex County Republican Committee ; staff roles at U.S. Department of the Interior and Congressman Scott Garrett's office; managed successful congressional campaigns; communications and public policy consultant; former trustee of the American Council of Young Political Leaders; now the youngest Republican in the New Jersey Assembly serving a second term.
