Biography
Mike Hoadley is a Republican state representative serving Michigan's 99th House District, which includes Arenac, Iosco, and Ogemaw counties, as well as portions of Bay, Clare, and Gladwin counties. First elected in November 2022 and reelected in 2024, he is currently in his second term and chairs the House Economic Competitiveness Committee while serving on the House Election Integrity Committee, House Natural Resources and Tourism Committee, and House Regulatory Reform Committee. Born May 9, 1970, in Flint, he resides in Au Gres, is married to Mary A. Hoadley, and has two children, Nicholas and Natalie. A U.S. Army veteran , he is Catholic and involved in community initiatives like founding S.O.A.R .
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Au Gres-Sims High School in 1988; attended Delta College for two years, studying mechanical engineering and business management.
- Professional Experience: Customer relations manager at Darton Archery ; owner of Hunter's Niche Inc., a traditional archery manufacturing and supply business .
- Political Experience: Elected to Au Gres City Council in 2017 and reelected in 2020; served as mayor of Au Gres from 2020 until his election to the state House. Also served on the Au Gres City Planning Commission, Tax Increment Finance Authority Board, chaired the Arenac County Planning Commission, and sat on the Arenac County Soldiers and Sailors Board. Member of NFIB, NRA, MI Farm Bureau, Right to Life MI, and president of Bayside Marina Association.
