Biography
Mike Dobrinski is a Republican member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing District 59 , which includes his hometown of Okeene. Born and raised in Okeene as the fourth generation of his family there, he is a lifelong resident of western Oklahoma with deep ties to rural communities. A successful businessman, Dobrinski and his brother owned Chevy dealerships in Okeene and Kingfisher for over 35 years until selling in 2018. He and his wife, Ginny—a public school teacher—have adult quadruplets: Paul, James, Scott, and Shelby, all Oklahoma State University graduates. Dobrinski is a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Okeene, serving in leadership roles including chairman of the Administrative Council. He identifies as pro-life, an NRA member, and advocates against federal overreach.
Notable achievements and positions include chairing the Utilities Committee, serving on the Energy and Natural Resources Oversight Committee, Appropriations and Budget Human Services, and Transportation committees, and being part of Speaker Charles McCall’s Leadership Team as Assistant Majority Whip. He authored the Terry Peach North Canadian Watershed Restoration Act and legislation for a statewide plan against harmful woody species, including HB 2988 for related tax credits. Other efforts involve bills potentially restricting Tesla service centers and voting against free menstrual products in schools . He has led local organizations like the Okeene Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce, and serves as trustee for Pioneer Telephone Cooperative since 1998.
