Biography
Mike Coffey is a Republican State Representative serving Illinois' 95th District, which includes parts of Sangamon County , as well as parts of Macon and Christian Counties. A lifelong Springfield resident and small business owner, he was sworn into office in January 2023 to fill the vacancy left by retiring Representative Tim Butler. Coffey managed his family's restaurant Saputo’s, opened in 1948, and founded Papa Frank’s in 2015. He has chaired the Springfield Metropolitan Exposition and Auditorium Authority board since 2005, after joining in 1997, promoting tourism and economic growth in Sangamon County. His priorities include job retention and growth, keeping Springfield as Illinois' government seat, reducing taxes, protecting state wards, and enhancing public safety. He is married to Lori with two daughters , one son , and one grandson .

- Education: Graduated in 1992 from the University of Illinois with a degree in Political Science.
- Political Experience: Serves on House committees including Appropriations-Public Safety, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics & IT, Housing, Public Utilities, State Government Administration, Veterans’ Affairs, Appropriations-Higher Education, Financial Institutions and Licensing, and Museum, Arts, Culture, and Entertainment. Committed to bipartisan work for district constituents.
