Biography
Senator Mike Chapman ** represents **Washington's 24th Legislative District, which includes Clallam, Jefferson, and Grays Harbor Counties on the Olympic Peninsula. He was sworn into the Senate in December 2024, replacing former Sen. Kevin Van De Wege, after serving in the House of Representatives from 2017 to 2024. Previously, he served four terms as a Clallam County Commissioner and worked for a decade as a local law enforcement officer and U.S. Customs Inspector. Notable positions include Chair of the Senate Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee, Deputy Chair of the Capital Budget, and member of the Transportation, Health & Long-Term Care committees, as well as the Joint Legislative Committee on Water Supply During Drought and others. He resides in Port Angeles with his wife, Bobbi, and they have two grown sons.
