Mike Caruso is a Republican who served as the Florida House Representative for District 87 from 2018 until resigning on August 19, 2025. A certified public accountant from Delray Beach, he was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis as the first Republican Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller for Palm Beach County, effective August 19, 2025. Notable achievements include serving as Vice Chair of the Higher Education Budget Subcommittee, 2017 National Men's IV Barefoot Water Skiing Silver Medalist, and long-term community involvement as a Delray Beach National Little League coach for over 30 years, Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, and president of local homeowners associations.
