Biography

Mike Braun is a Republican who previously represented District 63 in the Indiana House of Representatives from 2014 to 2017. Born on March 24, 1954, in Jasper, Indiana, he is a businessman, former U.S. Senator , and currently serves as the 52nd Governor of Indiana .

A conservative outsider and entrepreneur, Braun founded and led Meyer Distributing and Meyer Logistics, growing it into a national company employing thousands across 38 states, and co-founded Crystal Farms in 1979. He emphasizes values of faith, family, and community, is married to Maureen , and has four children: Jason, Jeff, Ashley, and Kristen. A Catholic, he has deep Indiana roots, having visited all 92 counties multiple times as a senator to address issues like property taxes, inflation, healthcare, and rural broadband.

Notable achievements include leading over 40 bills into law as a first-term U.S. Senator, being named the most effective first-term Republican Senator, and consistent rankings as one of the most conservative senators with endorsements from Americans for Prosperity, CPAC, NRA, Family Research Council, National Right to Life, and Susan B. Anthony List.
