Mike Berg is a Republican member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 8 . A civil engineer and entrepreneur, he was elected in 2024 and has served since 2025. He founded Apex Engineering Group in 2010 after working in Minneapolis and St. Louis, focusing on practical engineering solutions. Berg grew up in Hettinger as the son of a veterinarian and published author, instilling values of hard work and service. He is married to Wendy, with two children, Eleanor and Charlie, and lives in rural Burleigh County. An active community leader, he serves as a director for the American Water Works Association, North Dakota American Council of Engineering Companies, Bismarck-Mandan Chamber, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Council.
