Mike Argabright is a Republican Kansas State Senator representing District 17. A Kansas native from Atwood, he is a lifelong Republican, husband, father of three, and grandfather. He worked as a retired educator and football coach for 35 years, including 16 years as Superintendent at Southern Lyon County USD 252 schools . Argabright is also a farmer and stockman raising Charolais cattle, hunter, fisherman, and member of the Kansas Livestock Association and Kansas Farm Bureau. Notable achievements include founding and coordinating the Honor Flight-USD 252 program, leading 13 flights for over 260 veterans; serving as 2021-2022 Drive Chair for United Way of the Flint Hills to support education, health, and financial stability in multiple counties; and involvement with organizations like Emporia Chamber of Commerce, Newman Regional Health Board, and Emporia Friends of the Zoo.
