Senator Michelle Kidani is a Democrat representing District 18 in the Hawaii State Senate, serving since 2008. She currently holds key leadership roles, including Vice President of the Hawaii State Senate and Chair of the Senate Education Committee . Notable achievements include being named Fabulous Freshman Senator of the Year by the Hawaii Women’s Political Caucus , Legislator of the Year by groups such as HSTA and HDA , and Alumni of the Year for Farrington High School . She also serves as Vice Chair of the National Conference of State Legislatures Education Committee and Co-chair of the National Asian Pacific American Caucus of State Legislators Education Committee.
