Biography
Michelle Ciccolo is a Democrat representing the 15th Middlesex District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, which includes the town of Lexington and part of Woburn. She was first elected in 2018 and has served since 2019. Notable achievements include co-founding the bipartisan Zero Waste Caucus in 2020 to reduce solid waste through legislation and collaboration, driving the creation of the Assabet River Rail Trail, and initiating Massachusetts' Complete Streets Program. She serves on Joint Committees including Elder Affairs, Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture, Financial Services, Public Health, Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities, and State Administration and Regulatory Oversight. She participates in caucuses such as the Progressive Caucus, Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators, Climate Alliance Caucus, and others. Prior to the House, she founded The Ciccolo Group, a consulting firm in planning and community development, and held leadership roles like President of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and gubernatorial appointee to the Local Government Advisory Commission.
