Michelle Jane Beckley is a Democrat who served as the representative for Texas House District 65, covering parts of southern Denton County, from January 2019 to January 2023. She flipped the traditionally Republican seat by defeating three-term incumbent Ron Simmons in 2018 and did not seek reelection in 2022, instead running for Lieutenant Governor of Texas.
