Biography
Michele Lepore-Hagan is a Democratic politician born on April 4, 1955, who served as the Ohio House Representative for the 58th District from 2015 to 2023, representing areas including Youngstown, Austintown, Struthers, Campbell, Lowellville, and Coitsville. She succeeded her husband, longtime politician Bob Hagan , after he was term-limited, and is married with two children. A granddaughter of Irish and Italian immigrants, she entered politics in 2014 following a career as an educator, administrator, and community activist.
Notable achievements include sponsoring bipartisan TechCred legislation for job training and workforce development, pushing to ban Confederate memorabilia at state fairs, co-sponsoring a bill declaring racism a public health crisis, leading efforts to expel House Speaker Larry Householder amid a bribery scandal, and co-sponsoring the Reproductive Freedom Act. She served as Vice Chair of the Ohio House Democratic Women's Caucus.

- Professional Experience: Director of the Performing Arts Series at Youngstown State University for 27 years, where she supervised staff, managed budgets, and secured funding for music and theater programs; served on boards including Youngstown Area Urban League, Youngstown Area Arts Council, Potential Development Center, and Ballet Western Reserve.
- Political Experience: Elected to three terms in the Ohio House , advocating for public education, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, local governments, first responders, women's rights, civil rights, and worker's rights; secured funding for Youngstown State University and community projects.
