Biography
Michele Carringer is a Republican representing Tennessee House District 16 . Born February 4, 1962, in Knoxville, she is a lifelong resident, married to Michael, with two children and three grandchildren. A Southern Baptist, she emphasizes conservative values like low taxes, small government, better schools, safer neighborhoods, and support for teachers and law enforcement. First elected to the Tennessee House in November 2020, she won re-election in 2022 unopposed in the general election . Notable positions include Chairlady of the Population Health Subcommittee, and service on the Health Committee, Departments & Agencies Subcommittee, and State & Local Government Committee.
