Biography
Michael Anthony Rulli is a Republican politician and businessman serving as the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 6th Congressional District since winning a special election in June 2024. A lifelong resident of Ohio's Mahoning Valley, he previously represented the 33rd District in the Ohio State Senate from 2019 to 2024, covering Mahoning, Columbiana, and Carroll counties. Rulli is the Director of Operations at his family's century-old business, Rulli Bros. Market, and lives in Salem with his wife, Kelly, and their two children. Notable achievements include receiving the Better Business Bureau Torch Award and Regional Chamber Small Businessman of the Year award in 2017, as well as leading efforts to save St. Patrick’s Church in Leetonia from closure. In the Ohio Senate, he voted to override Governor DeWine's veto of HB 68, banning gender-affirming care for minors and restricting transgender athletes in girls' and women's sports.

- First elected to Ohio Senate in 2018, defeating incumbent John Boccieri.
