Michael Owen is a Republican representative for Florida House District 70, covering parts of Hillsborough and Manatee Counties. Born on December 23, 1975, in Houston, Texas, he moved to Florida in 1976 and has been a 40+ year resident of Hillsborough County. He resides in Apollo Beach and is an attorney and small business owner with decades of experience. Previously, he served as a Hillsborough County commissioner and Port Tampa Bay commissioner. Elected to the Florida House in 2024, his term extends until 2032. Notable achievements include passing tough immigration enforcement laws, cutting taxes, and reducing government spending by $3.8 billion. He is affiliated with Arise Church, Chambers of Commerce, and the Federalist Society.
