Michael Edgar

Michael Edgar is an American Democratic politician who represents the Rockingham 29th district in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He resides in Hampton, New Hampshire, with his spouse and five children.

Edgar has a distinguished background combining military service, professional engineering expertise, and public service. He is a veteran who served as a Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve and has worked as an engineer in his professional career.

Education

Edgar earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut in Mansfield, Connecticut, and a Master of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania.

Political Experience

Edgar has served as a Representative in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since 2016, representing the Rockingham 29th district. Prior to his legislative service, he was a member of the Hampton School Board. He currently serves on the Public Works and Highways Committee in the state house.
