Michael Carter is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 36 . A third-generation Army veteran and Aurora defense attorney, he focuses on protecting vulnerable community members as a public defender and private criminal defense attorney. He lives in Aurora with his wife Johanna, a teacher, and their three children, all attending Aurora Public Schools . Carter serves on the APS School Board and is Vice Chair of the House Committee on Judiciary.
