Michael Aron

Michael Aron is a Republican state representative from New Hampshire representing Sullivan County District 8. He has served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since 2024.

Aron is a lifelong resident of Acworth, New Hampshire, where he lives with his wife, Judy , along with their three grown children and two grandchildren. Beyond his legislative work, Aron is known for his extensive involvement in public speaking through Toastmasters International, where he has been a member for 23 years and earned two Distinguished Toastmaster awards—the highest honor available. He has competed in 105 speech contests, winning first place 52% of the time. As a personal hobby, Aron makes his own bow ties.

Education

Aron holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz and a Master's degree in Organizational Industrial Psychology from the University of New Haven.

Political Experience

Before his election to the state house, Aron built an extensive record of community and political service:

• Chair of the Sullivan County Republican Committee since 2018, working to support local candidates
• Member of the Acworth Planning Board since 2014, serving as chair since 2023
• Member of the Fall Mountain Regional School District Budget Committee, elected in 2022
• Member of the Acworth Community Project since 2014, a nonprofit organization that operates the South Acworth Village Store

Aron retired from the insurance industry in 2022, where he worked as an Information Technology Manager. His transition to electoral politics came in 2024 when he ran for and won his seat in the state legislature.
