Biography
Melanie Murphy Miller is a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 67th District, which includes all of Ashland County and the western portion of Medina County. She is currently serving her second term and chairs the House Arts, Athletics, and Tourism Committee for the 136th General Assembly, while also serving on the Health, Technology & Innovation, and Children & Human Services Committees. Notable achievements include her roles as Executive Director of the Ashland Pregnancy Care Center—recognized as the 2018 Health & Medical Services Organization of the Year and voted Best Non-Profit from 2018-2021 and 2023—former Youth Ministries Director at The Salvation Army Kroc Corps Community Center, professional NBA dancer for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miss Ohio 2006, Mrs. Ohio America 2011, and on-air personality for WBNX-TV. She is married to Matt and has received the Ashland County Women of Achievement Award.

- Education: Graduated from Midpark High School in Middleburg Heights, Ohio ; Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Digital Media & Film from Cleveland State University .
- Political Experience: Sworn in for her first term in 2024 as State Representative for the 67th District; re-elected for a second term; active in conservative advocacy, including efforts to defund Planned Parenthood , support for a Federal Heartbeat Bill , and developing Abortion Pill Reversal services .
