Biography
Mayes Middleton is a Republican politician and businessman serving as Texas State Senator for District 11, which includes portions of Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris Counties. Hailing from Galveston , he is President and CEO of Middleton Oil Company, an independent oil and gas firm, and manages ranching, cattle, and farming operations. Married to Macy with four children, he supports community organizations and faith-based charities in the Galveston-Houston area. Notable achievements include consistently ranking among the most conservative legislators, chairing the Texas House Freedom Caucus , authoring the Save Women’s Sports Act and the strongest COVID vaccine mandate ban, and championing border security, parental choice in education, and opposition to DEI/ESG policies. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Local Government Committee and on committees for Administration, Business & Commerce, Education K-16, Jurisprudence, and State Affairs. Middleton is running for Texas Attorney General in 2026.
