Biography

Maureen Ann McCarville is a Democratic politician representing Wisconsin's 42nd Assembly District in the Wisconsin State Assembly, serving since January 2025 after winning the 2024 general election with 55% of the vote. A lifelong Wisconsin resident from Dane County and DeForest, she serves on the Dane County Board of Supervisors since 2012 and previously on the DeForest village board. Notable positions include member of the Assembly Committee on Veterans and Military Affairs; she has a decade of service with the Wisconsin National Guard, 40 years in business, and prior roles as chief union steward and vice president of Madison Gas & Electric Union Local 39, plus police commissioner and secretary for the DeForest Police Commission.
