Biography
Matthew Harris Gambill is a Republican representative for District 15 in the Georgia House of Representatives, serving Cartersville, Emerson, Allatoona, and portions of unincorporated Bartow County. A lifelong resident of Bartow County, he comes from a family with a strong legacy of public service: his uncle, Joe Frank Harris, served as Georgia Governor from 1983 to 1991 and represented Bartow County in the House for 18 years prior; his wife, Danae Roberts Gambill, previously served in the Georgia House. Gambill and his wife are parents to three children—Mary Harris, David, and James—and are active members of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Notable achievements include lowering the state income tax, securing election integrity, supporting small businesses, cutting government red tape, backing law enforcement, advancing education reforms and investments, passing Georgia's strongest pro-life law, and increasing the senior school tax exemption for Bartow seniors.
