Matt Simpson represents Alabama House District 96, which encompasses portions of Baldwin County including the cities of Daphne and Spanish Fort, as well as several unincorporated communities including Montrose, Belforest, Malbis, Blakeley, Bromley, and Stapleton.
Simpson was born in Mobile, Alabama and is married to Marina. He has two children, John Wallace and Elizabeth. He is an active member of Coastal Church, serving as a member and elder since 2013.
Education
Simpson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama and his Juris Doctor from Samford University Cumberland School of Law . He also graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Mobile Division Citizen's Academy in 2013.
Political Experience
Simpson has served as a State Representative since 2018, having been elected in both 2018 and 2022. Within the Alabama House of Representatives, he holds several significant positions:

Simpson is also active in Republican Party leadership, serving as a member and former chairman of the State of Alabama Republican Party Executive Committee and as Congressional District 1 Vice Chair for the Young Republican Federation of Alabama.
