Matt Rosendale
Matthew Martin Rosendale was born on July 7, 1960, in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a Republican Party member who served in the United States House of Representatives representing Montana's 2nd district from 2021 to 2025. Before his congressional service, he held several prominent positions in Montana state government.
Education
Rosendale graduated from Queen Anne's County High School in Centreville, Maryland, and attended Chesapeake College.
Political Experience
Rosendale's career in Montana politics includes:
State Senator : Served in the Montana State Legislature, holding the position of Senate majority leader during his tenure.
Montana State Auditor : Regulated stock brokers and portions of the insurance industry in Montana, also serving as Securities and Insurance Commissioner.
U.S. House of Representatives : Elected to represent Montana's 2nd district, replacing Greg Gianforte.
Montana House of Representatives: Earlier service in the state house.
