Biography
Matt Reeves is a Republican representative for Georgia House District 99, serving Suwanee, Sugar Hill, and Duluth in Gwinnett County since 2022. A real estate and business litigation partner at Andersen, Tate & Carr, he fights for taxpayers and homeowners in Georgia's second-largest county. Notable positions include House Majority Caucus Whip Team member, vice chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, secretary of the Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee, and service on Appropriations and related subcommittees. He supports job growth, parental involvement in education, law enforcement, criminal justice reform, and anti-trafficking efforts.
Education and Political Experience
Reeves graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law and Mercer University. A Gwinnett County resident since 2003, he previously served as president of the Gwinnett County Bar Association and Duluth Rotary Club, and on the Duluth Parks Board. From 2008-2009, he was legal counsel to State Rep. Wendell Willard on the House Judiciary Committee and the Evidence Code Commission. Originally from Americus, Georgia, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, he lives in Duluth with his wife Suzette, three children, and nearby mother-in-law ; the family attends Perimeter Church.
