Biography
Matthew Bryson Lehman is a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing Kentucky's 67th District in Campbell County, including areas such as Bellevue, Dayton, Newport, Wilder, Woodlawn, much of Highland Heights and Southgate, and parts of Cold Spring and Fort Thomas. A Northern Kentucky native from Newport, he lives there with his wife Adriana and their three children. Lehman works in medical research and development, co-founding Koligo Therapeutics in 2016 to develop opioid-free treatments for pancreatitis patients, and currently consults on therapeutics for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Notable achievements include winning the 2024 election for the House seat with 50.08% of the vote after incumbent Rachel Roberts' retirement, and an unsuccessful 2022 run for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District against Republican Thomas Massie. He is Catholic and involved with the Children’s Home of NKY.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Attended St. Joseph Elementary in Crescent Springs and Covington Catholic High School; earned a B.A. from the University of Louisville and an M.S. from Columbia University in 2002.
- Political Experience: Elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives in 2024; term began January 2025. Serves on House session standing committees.
