Matt Huffman is a Republican state representative serving Ohio's 78th House District, which includes all of Allen County and part of northern Auglaize County. Born on April 1, 1960, in Lima, Ohio, where he resides, he is married with four children. Huffman practices law at his family's firm in Lima, with over 40 years of experience as an "AV" rated attorney admitted to Ohio state and federal courts. He has represented numerous small businesses in west central Ohio and is a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform, tax reductions, deregulation, gun rights, pro-life policies, medical system reforms, and parental control in education. Notable achievements include defeating an income tax increase on Lima City Council, supporting state income and estate tax cuts, earning "Guardian of Small Business" recognition, and three "Watchdog of the Treasury" awards. He made history as the first official in modern times to preside over both the Ohio Senate and House on the same day.
