Matt Hatchett is a Republican representing District 155 in the Georgia House of Representatives. A businessman from Dublin, Georgia, he previously served as a Dublin City Councilman , including as Mayor Pro Tem in 2007, and held roles such as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, Majority Caucus Chairman , and Majority Whip . Business roles include Development/Mission Enhancement Director at Mercer University School of Medicine, former owner of Bruster’s Real Ice Cream and Nathan’s Famous , and co-owner of Plum Alley clothing store. Priority issues: lowering taxes, improving schools, cutting spending, and attracting jobs in Laurens, Johnson, and Treutlen Counties.
