Biography
Matthew V. "Matt" Hansen is a Nebraska politician who served two terms as State Senator for Legislative District 26 from 2014 to 2023. He has been Lancaster County Clerk since 2023 and is a member of the Democratic Party, though noted as nonpartisan in Nebraska's unicameral legislature context. A Lincoln native, he lives in east Lincoln with his family and serves on the board of the Asian Community and Cultural Center, previously on boards for University Place Community Organization and HopeSpoke.
