Matt Dolan is a Republican politician, lawyer, and former state legislator from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, born on January 12, 1965. He represented Ohio's 24th Senate District in the Ohio Senate from 2017 to 2024 and previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2005 to 2010. A partner at the law firm Thrasher, Dinsmore & Dolan, he now serves as CEO of Team NEO, focusing on economic development in Northeast Ohio. Notable achievements include chairing the Finance Committee in both legislative chambers, overseeing major budgets, advancing tax reform, infrastructure investment, and sponsoring the Great Lakes Compact; he received awards like the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Champion of Business Award. Dolan ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in Ohio's Republican primaries in 2022 and 2024, placing second in the latter with 32% of the vote.
