Matthew Douglas Bradford is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 70th District in Montgomery County. A lifelong resident of southeastern Pennsylvania and attorney, he has served since 2009, advocating for working families through progressive policies on education, taxes, economy, and equality. Notable achievements include serving as Democratic Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee , Majority Appropriations Committee Chairman and Majority Floor Leader , and House Majority Leader , where he led efforts to invest in public education, reduce taxpayer burdens, strengthen the workforce, and cut taxes. He previously served as municipal administrator and CEO of Norristown Borough, averting bankruptcy by addressing waste, fraud, and debt; solicitor for Norristown Area School Board, Norristown Municipal Waste Authority, and Whitemarsh; and associate at Drinker Biddle. He resides in Worcester Township with his wife, Renee, and four children, and is an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
