Biography
Mary A. Hakken-Phillips is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Grafton 12 district. She assumed office on December 2, 2020, and resides in Hanover, New Hampshire. An attorney specializing in real estate and business law, she serves as pro-bono general counsel for a NH-based healthcare outcomes research corporation. Notable positions include service on the House Finance Committee and Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules , House Democrats’ assistant floor leader, House Democratic Victory Committee advisory board member, Vice-Chair of the Hanover/Lyme Town Democrats, and Chair of the Upper Valley Democrats. Her top priorities are reproductive freedom, fairly funded public education, and lowering household costs and property taxes. She has sponsored legislation directing a report on the availability of mifepristone and misoprostol.
