Biography
Mary Bradfield is a Republican state representative for Colorado House District 21 in El Paso County, including communities like Security-Widefield, Fountain, Fort Carson, Rock Creek Park, and portions of Colorado Springs. Born and raised in a small farm community in Iowa, she married her high school sweetheart early in college and spent 22 years moving with his military service, settling in Colorado Springs in 1984. A retired teacher from Colorado Springs School District with over 20 years of experience, she later volunteered with the El Paso County Republican Party, serving two terms as secretary and two as vice-chair. First elected in 2020, defeating opponents with 54.20% of the vote, she won re-election in 2024 with 58.24% after a competitive primary. Her top priorities include education, housing, veteran affairs, and mental/behavioral health.
