Mary Ann Perez is a Democrat representing Texas House District 144, which includes South Houston and parts of Houston, Pasadena, and Deer Park in Harris County . A 63-year-old insurance agent from Houston, she owns a successful agency in Southeast Harris County. She is serving her sixth term, with her seat up for election in 2026.
