Martin J. "Marty" Moylan is a Democratic politician who served as Illinois State Representative for the 55th District from January 2013 until his resignation on December 16, 2025. The district includes all or parts of Des Plaines, Morton Grove, Niles, Park Ridge, and the Edison Park neighborhood in Chicago. A full-time legislator and former mayor of Des Plaines, he chose not to seek an eighth term and resigned to pursue other opportunities. He is married with one son.
