Marty Gearheart is a Republican politician serving as Delegate for District 37 in the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing Mercer County from his hometown of Bluefield. Born on September 15, 1961, in Zebulon, North Carolina, he currently holds the position of Majority Whip . Notable achievements include chairing the Committee on Roads and Transportation during the 82nd and 83rd Legislatures, and extensive Republican leadership roles such as Vice Chair of the West Virginia Republican Party and past Chair of the Mercer County Republican Executive Committee .
