Marlene Anielski is a Republican who served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2011 to 2018, representing the 17th and later the 6th House Districts, both covering portions of Cuyahoga County including communities like Walton Hills, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, and Solon. Born on November 25, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, she grew up in northeastern Ohio and previously served as mayor and safety director of Walton Hills for over ten years. After completing her term-limited position in the legislature, she became Executive Director of the Ohio Board. She is married to Jonathan and has children. Notable activities include honoring a local hero at the 2017 Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame enshrinement and participation in organizations such as the Small Communities Council of the National League of Cities, Mayors’ and Municipalities Automotive Coalition, Chambers of Commerce, and Junior Achievement.
