Biography
Mark R. Maynard is a Republican state senator representing District 6 in the West Virginia Senate, covering Wayne , Mingo, McDowell, and Mercer counties. Born on May 14, 1972, in Huntington, WV, to parents Richard Dale and Jewell Gay Maynard, he is a Baptist and works in automotive retail. Notable affiliations include SEMA Legislative Caucus Member, WV Legislative Congressional Prayer Caucus Chairman, and various off-highway vehicle and motorsports groups such as PNW4WDA, EC4WDA, Blue Ribbon Trails Coalition, NHRA, NSRA, NMCA, and WV Off Highway Vehicle Association. He has served as Chairman of the Wayne County Executive Committee and volunteered as an assistant softball coach for Wayne County Schools.
