Biography
Mark Lawson is a Republican representative for House District 30 in Oklahoma, serving since 2016 and based in Sapulpa. He currently holds the position of House Majority Leader, advancing conservative policies, economic growth, and family stability initiatives. Notable achievements include authoring legislation to establish the Oklahoma Route 66 Commission ahead of its 2026 centennial to boost tourism and economic potential, as well as chairing the House Appropriations & Budget Subcommittee for Human Services, overseeing about 10% of the state's annual budget. He has also championed policies to strengthen families and reduce childhood trauma.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Education from Oklahoma State University; Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
