Biography
Mark Johnson is a Republican State Representative serving Ohio House District 92, which includes all of Hocking and Vinton Counties, southern Perry County, and Ross County from Chillicothe east. He is currently in his third term, representing Chillicothe as his hometown. A former business manager for the Tri-State Building and Construction Trades Council and construction superintendent for a Columbus-area contractor, Johnson is a journeyman commercial carpenter who worked on the Vern Riffe Center. He resides in Chillicothe, Ohio's first capital, with his wife Kelli; they attend St. Mary's Church and enjoy Harley Davidson road trips. Johnson is active in the Knights of Columbus, First Capitol Rotary, Chillicothe and Hocking County Chambers of Commerce, and is a lifelong Building Trades member.
Education and Political Experience
Johnson completed the United Brotherhood of Carpenters JATC Apprenticeship Training Program, a four-year accredited program finished with honors. His professional background includes 17 years as a construction superintendent and business manager for the Tri-State Building and Construction Trades Council. In politics, he serves on the Ohio Department of Transportation's Ohio Rail Development Commission and Ohio Consumers' Counsel. Notable positions include his third term in the Ohio House, with ongoing service as of 2026.
