Mark J. Hashem is a Democratic Hawaii State Representative for District 19 , born on March 3, 1968, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is married and the father of three children. Fluent in Japanese, he previously operated an elementary English school and a billiard supply network in Sapporo while studying there. He currently chairs the House Water and Land Committee and has prior experience as a staff member in the Hawaii State House during the 2010 legislative session, providing committee support.
