Biography
Mark Lawrence Earley Jr. is a Republican attorney serving as Delegate for Virginia's 73rd House District, representing parts of Chesterfield County. Elected in 2023, he currently serves on the Communications, Technology and Innovation Committee and the Courts of Justice Committee. He is the son of former Virginia State Senator and Attorney General Mark Earley Sr.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: B.A. from Virginia Tech in Political Science, History, and English; J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law .
- Political Experience: Prior to law school, served in former Governor Robert F. McDonnell’s administration on the Prisoner and Juvenile Reentry Council and lobbied for a non-profit. Previously ran unsuccessfully for the 68th district in 2021. Admitted to practice law in Virginia and federal courts; formerly at McGuireWoods, LLP, focusing on government investigations and white-collar litigation. Married to Mary Alice Earley with two children.
