Biography
Mark Chapman is a Republican representative for Oklahoma House District 12, which includes Broken Arrow, Coweta, and most of Wagoner County. Born in 1964 in Illinois, he is a lifelong entrepreneur from Broken Arrow, owning a professional video equipment dealership and working as a real estate investor. Elected in 2024 after defeating Crystal LaGrone with 79% of the vote, he assumed office on November 20, 2024. Previously vice chair of the Wagoner County GOP, he supports pro-life values and Second Amendment rights. Married to Brenda for nearly 40 years, they have three married children and five grandchildren.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Associate's degree in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology ; Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Southern Nazarene University .
- Political Experience: Serves as Vice Chair of the Utilities Committee and member of Administrative Rules, A&B Health Subcommittee, and Energy and Natural Resources Oversight. Recently advanced bills including HB1739 on Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System provisions and HB3415 on state government vendors and contracts.
