Mark Baisley is a Republican state senator representing Colorado's 4th Senate District, which includes Chaffee, Custer, Douglas, Fremont, Jefferson, Lake, Park, and Teller counties. Originally from Roxborough Park and now associated with Woodland Park, he is a longtime community leader, married for over 45 years to Maryann, with four children and seven grandchildren. Professionally, he is an aerospace engineer and President of Slipglass Inc., an engineering software firm in Littleton, with a 40-year career including work at NASA, Hughes, Raytheon, Martin Marietta, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Kennedy Space Center. Notable recent activities include announcing a gubernatorial bid in March 2025, suspending it on January 5, 2026, and pivoting to a U.S. Senate candidacy. He serves on committees like Business, Labor and Technology and the Senate Committee on Artificial Intelligence Impact Task Force, and has sponsored 9 Senate bills in the 2026 session.

• Education: Earned a Bachelor of Science from Columbia College; received the Professional Achievement Award from his alma mater in 1998.
• Political Experience: Served as Vice Chairman of the Colorado Republican Party and Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Party before elected office.
