Biography
Marjorie K. Smith is a Democratic representative for Strafford District 10 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where she has served since 2022 in her thirteenth term. Born on February 22, 1941, in New York, N.Y., she is widowed with two children and resides at 100 Piscataqua Road, Durham, NH. Notable achievements include chairing the House Finance and Fiscal Committees, House Judiciary Committee, and serving as the first chair of the New Hampshire Women’s Policy Institute board; she currently chairs public policy for the NH House Democratic Caucus and sits on the University System of New Hampshire board.
