Margaret Angela Franklin is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 23rd District, which includes parts of Prince William and Stafford Counties. She was elected in a special election on January 14, 2026, and took office on January 19, 2026, defeating Republican Verndell Robinson with 2,773 votes to 810. Previously, she served as Woodbridge District Supervisor on the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors since 2019, becoming one of the first African American women on the board.
